Vice President Mike Pence: 83% of the World’s Population Live in Nations Where Religious Freedom Threatened or Banned

In the world right now, Christians are more persecuted than anyone else. Now America’s current administration is working to advance religious freedom.

Under the direction of President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has spearheaded the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom initiative. Vice President Mike Pence shares the facts about how religious freedom is threatened or banned in other nations to help us understand why America is helping to bring religious freedom to all nations.

“It is my great honor to address this first ever and first annual Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom…President Trump has said on many occasions; the United States of America is a nation of faith and religious freedom it’s a top priority of this administration. Since the earliest days of our nation, America has stood for religious freedom…the American founders enshrined religious freedom as the first freedom in the Constitution of the United States, and America has always and will always lead the world by our example.” Vice President Pence continues, “In the long history of this nation religious freedom has been our first freedom. As our founders knew this precious liberty is endowed not by government but by our Creator and we believe that it belongs not just to the American people but to all people so endowed. The right to believe or not to believe is the most fundamental of freedoms. When religious liberty is denied or destroyed we know that other freedoms…are imperiled. That’s why the United States stands for religious freedom, yesterday, today, and always.”

Vice President Pence remarks how Secretary of State Pompeo has brought to pass what President Trump wanted, to bring together 80 nations, and to make religious liberty a priority for the world. “For today tragically a stunning 83% of the worlds populations live where religious freedom is either threatened or even banned.” He shares how those persecuted face imprisonment, persecution, and even death.

The changes that have taken place in American government are so positive. America does not want religious persecution in the world and is taking action to make sure the persecution ends. We have prayed for this persecution to end as have many others and now our prayers are being answered. Our God is powerful, loving and kind and He wants this persecution to end. Now President Trump and his administration are protecting our rights in America and helping the world too. As the first amendment reads in the U.S. Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Our religious rights are addressed in the very first amendment, and America is coming back to its original intent! First Ever Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom Sec. State Pompeo: Defending Religious Freedom All Around the World

In the world right now, Christians are more persecuted than anyone else. God has heard our prayers at VNFKB as we have prayed for years for the persecution of believers to end! Now America’s current administration is working to advance religious freedom. It is named the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, and the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is hosting this advancement with a total of 80 nations represented.

“Religious freedom is indeed a universal human right I will fight for, one that our team and the department will continue to fight for,” says Secretary of State Pompeo. This is the first ministerial in history to advance religious freedom in the world. America is the largest economy and largest military that also has a compassion for the whole world to also live in freedom. Kim Clement prophesied concerning the great changes that are coming to America and the world. “The people are praying to North Korea, Iran, China, yet the Church is growing in China faster than anywhere else in the world; yet the Church in Iran, underneath, is greater than the Church in the west. No, this nation (America) needs revival.”

Be challenged to join us and to pray for the persecuted Church. This is our brothers and sisters being persecuted. At VFNKB we have a 24-hour day of prayer and have been walking this out for nine years. During this time, we prayed for Mariam Ibraheem who is a Christian and was arrested in Sudan, because she would not renounce her faith in Jesus. We fasted and prayed for her to be released and she was freed during that time of prayer. Ever since then we have prayed for the persecuted believers. Joel Rosenberg Ushers Christians Into King of Jordan & President of Egypt – Value Voters Summit 2018

Joel Rosenberg, novelist and a dual citizen of Israel and America, speaks at the Values Voters Summit 2018. He speaks of some very exciting events that have happened recently in the Middle East. The novels that he has written tap into the prophetic even though he has not acknowledged it and the novels have led him into the presence of kings and presidents.

Joel answers the question; what Evangelicals need to know but may not be getting from the mainstream media? “The Islamic state as it existed three years ago, no longer exists. The caliphate has been crushed, the genocide against Christians in the Middle East has been stopped. ISIS has not been vanquished, but it is definitely on the run. Israel has just celebrated her 70^th anniversary of her prophetic rebirth on May 14, 1948. Jewish families like my own are returning back to the promised land, back to the Holy Land after centuries of exile just as the scriptures foretold. It’s happening in our lifetime. Israel is building a prosperous economy and a vibrant, robust, dynamic democracy and 23 years after Congress overwhelmingly passed a law to make it happen, the American Embassy now resides in Jerusalem.” He says all this isn’t just in the last three years but the last 18 months.

Joel says he must be honest, so he shares what he thought of President Donald Trump. “I was a never Trumper, until Thursday…before the election. I had to send in my absentee ballot from Israel by FedEx, and I had been quite outspoken about my concerns and criticisms of Candidate Trump. But it did come down to, it was him or her now…this is it, you gotta send in your ballot.” He shares how some people were early adopters of President Trump, and some were late to accept him which is how Joel felt.

Being a friend of Vice President Mike Pence, Joel’s wife helped him realize he couldn’t vote against a friend, on the one hand; he just didn’t know what would happen and how President Trump would be as a leader of our country. Now he says it is extraordinary to see his friend helping President Trump and helping to lead our nation. “People are policy and when you see someone like Secretary Pompeo…as the director of Central Intelligence and then the Secretary of State leading foreign U.S. policy, explaining it, advancing it, working with the President. This is just amazing to see Evangelicals in these key positions…people who have these values and are so concerned about the direction of the country are in key positions. And they are making progress.” Joel looked at President Trump as a marriage to America, and he wasn’t sure it should happen, but it did happen, and he wants to see it succeed. “There will be times that criticism is necessary, but there is a difference between being a critic and being a cynic…there are times to be critical, but if you are a cynic, that means you don’t believe somebody can ever change, ever make good decisions, ever hire good people, ever advance our values, and that is clearly not the case. So much good has happened, and I am grateful.”

Next, Joel speaks of the greatest threat in the Middle East. He says the primary threat remains to be Iran. The Iran Deal emboldened the Iota and repressed the Iranian people and Christians. “This level of influence, and aggression, and evil, true wickedness coming out of Iran has been encouraged by the Nuclear Deal.”

He speaks of a meeting he had with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, and after the president spoke, he walked around and talked to everyone. Joel approached him and introduced himself and thanked him for liberating the people of Egypt and for protecting Christians. He boldly points out the President el-Sisi has not met with a group of evangelicals. “One group I haven’t noticed that you met with, I may have missed it, please forgive me, but have you met with Evangelical Christian leaders? He said no I haven’t. I said you may want to consider that.” Joel pointed out the number of Evangelicals in America and the world is 600 million worldwide stating that they would be fascinated to meet with him. Because of his boldness, President el-Sisi asked Joel if he would like to bring an Evangelical delegation to meet with him!

In their meetings, they met with senior Muslim leaders and 60 Egyptian Christian leaders asking them how we pray and encourage them. The Evangelical’s first met with President el-Sisi in his palace and met with him for three hours!

Joel also took a delegation to Jordan and met with King Abdullah. He had written a book about the king and King Abdullah read that book, The First Hostage. “Rather than banning me from the kingdom forever, he invited my wife and me to come for five days. To build a friendship, to begin to get to know his worldview…he sent us to meet with all his special forces, generals, different bases, and key leaders, national security leaders. I think he was saying I want to show you what I am doing everything to make sure that your book is never coming true.” Which in Joel’s book the king was killed by ISIS. He had three different meetings with King Abdullah, and he was so honored and amazed to have met with him. After this meeting he was able to bring the Evangelical delegation to meet with King Abdullah.

Joel says that all the leaders in the Middle East are concerned about Iran, even to the point of calling Iran, Hitler. “Russia is forming an alliance with Iran…to the south something new, and American, Israeli, Sunni, Arab alliance. It’s not perfect, it’s not fully formed, but something’s happening that’s never happened in history. We need to encourage it, we need to nurture it, we need to be grateful that this current administration understands it, and the last administration certainly did not. And we need to continue to pray for peace in the region, for peace in Jerusalem, and that we can be salt and light in every aspect of life. From foreign policy to human rights, and the Gospel most importantly.”

On the earth, it is a historical time to be alive; it should make us want to be informed and prayerful. We are so grateful for Joel as he reminds us as we stay in tune with God, we can be in the right place at the right time to be able to do something amazing for God. We must continue praying for Israel and the Middle East! We can continue to bring the light to all seven mountains of culture as we talk about at VFNKB and Joel is doing just that. In America, we have a great person for our Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who was over the C.I.A. and has done great things for our country and other countries as well. Secretary of State is the third position of authority in the president’s cabinet which makes this is a very important position. He has great wisdom and is a part of the Bible study that takes place with President Donald Trump’s cabinet members, and it is reportedly the first Bible study in a president’s cabinet in 100 years. We are in a God moment for America and the world because if America is strong and America keeps God over our nation then many nations that have been blessed will continue to be blessed by America. The seat of the righteous will rise, and the seat of evil will come down!

Secretary of State Pompeo is speaking at the Values Voters Summit 2018 and gives insight into what he and his department have been doing for religious liberty for America and the world. “This state department under President Trump is fighting to make sure that American citizens and American interests come first in our foreign policy. At the very heart of our mission is the preservation of human dignity. And this administration understands an eternal truth that each person has an essential worth simply because he or she is human and having been created by God.” He continues with what is written in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Secretary of State Pompeo continues, “For Americans, that’s our birthright, freedom, but for many around the world it’s an aspiration. And each of us can do many things to help fulfill that aspiration. Sometimes here in America, we take it for granted. Those of us who are believers don’t see that so many places in the world that simple thing, that belief that we have, is challenged. And I urge each of you to never hide it under a bushel. To understand how important, it is that we speak about this, we speak about faith and freedom in a way that is candid and clear.” He speaks about the fact that we have privilege in America to have religious freedom and that he has worked to get the ‘swagger’ back into the state department which he means to bring it back to its original intent.

“Since the earliest days of his presidency, President Trump has directed all of us in his administration, to advance and defend religious freedom at home and abroad. Because religious freedom is a universal, a God-given right to which all people are entitled…sadly today more than 80% of the global population lives in countries that place significant limitations on religious freedom.” He talks about how 20 Iranians who were secretly Christians had to fly somewhere in secret so that they could be baptized, and one man had waited ten years for that moment! Many horrific tragedies are taking place in other countries of people being persecuted and even murdered for their religious beliefs. He also says that in China hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, are held against their will in re-education camps and endure severe political indoctrination and other abuses. The government in China is also closing churches and burning crosses among other terrible things.

One of the men handed me a little note card, and I put it in my vest pocket…when I got home that night I pulled it out and on that index card was Psalm 126 “When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them. The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” As he shares this, you can hear the emotion in his voice. “His (Kim Dong-chul) deliverance gives us hope and energizes our prayers that all those mistreated around the world will endure and one day be free. His story fuels the Trump administration’s commitment to protect human dignity by ensuring that all these with the fire of faith in their hearts to be able to exercise their God-given rights.” He continues speaking of Pastor Andrew Brunson and how they are working hard to obtain his freedom and to return him home. “President Trump will never forget about our own.”

N. KOREAN HOSTAGE RELEASED!! Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, Flying Back With all Three

We are happy to hear the reports that the three Americans that have been held captive in North Korea for over one year has been released to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, according to CBN News. The three Americans who were captive are Kim Dong-chul, Kim Sang-duk (Tony Kim) and Kim Hak-song. They were all moved from a labor camp sometime last month to be treated, and rest and are now on their way back to America. President Donald Trump tweeted the announcement of their return and that Secretary Pompeo and guests will arrive at Andrews Air Force Base at 2:00 A.M. and President Trump will be there to greet them.

family member of Tony Kim is expressing gratitude to “all of those who have worked toward and contributed to his return home…the support and prayers of friends and even strangers during this challenging year.” We are thankful at VFNKB that prayers were answered for these three Americans to be brought back home to their families.

Secretary Pompeo said this trip is “to put in place a framework for a successful summit.” President Trump did say in his tweet that a place and time have been set for the summit which may happen later this month or in June.

UPDATE

President Donald Trump and his wife Melania welcomed Kim Dong-chul, Kim Sang-duk (Tony Kim) and Kim Hak-song, home at Andrews Air Force Base on 05/10/18.

The three men expressed their thanks according to the state department.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home,” the men said.

“We thank God, and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return. God Bless America, the greatest nation in the world.”

A White House spokeswoman said the three former prisoners would be taken to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in nearby Maryland for further medical evaluation.
