Fathers are Special
LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, and Pat share about a time when Greg and Pat where in Israel. They received prayer and the blessing of the priesthood and the presence of God enveloped them. They continued to share how wonderful it is to be in the Lord’s presence and how they have become so overcome and moved to tears. They continue to discuss how we can’t fix ourselves no matter how hard we try but what we can do is seek to be in the Lord’s presence and he can do more in just one second in His presence than what we can do in a lifetime of trying to fix ourselves. It’s only in his presence are we made whole.

Greg, John, and Pat discuss how special father’s are. They continue to discuss that many Americans today would use the word “complicated” to describe their relationship with their fathers. They continue to discuss that to talk positively to about men does not mean to talk negatively or bad about women. They continue to speak of their experiences with fathers and sons through the Next Step Outback. In order to have fathers we need to have healthy sons. Thousands of wounded men came and were healed. In order for us to have relationships with fathers and parents forgiveness and repentance are essential. We must never forget that Father God is Father to the fatherless. One of the signs of the Lord’s return is when the church begins to be family again, Malachi 4:5-6.

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, and Pat discuss how we are so blessed in America. It is said that America is the bread basket for the word. We produce so much food in this country that some have used food as fuel for our vehicles. God has so blessed us with America and the form of government that allows us to hire representatives to represent us. Help us Lord not to waste he blessing. Forgive us for not being grateful for the blessed land you have given us. The Lord will hold us accountable for how we run our country.

LISTEN NOW! We share in this moment of wisdom from Proverbs 1:7 “our desperate need for the Fear of the Lord. Knowledge puffs up, love builds up but without a healthy fear of the Lord we are in trouble. He describes what the fear of the Lord is and what it is not and the benefits to having a fear of the Lord.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:7

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, Pat, and Chris share several hilarious stories, at least to them, involving cockroaches. One of which was a story Greg shares when he was a deputy, law enforcement officer. He was called to a vacant house that was in probate with a report of something going on in the house. Greg shows up to the house; it has no electricity, it’s dark and as he stands on the porch he sees the door is cracked open. Immediately he thinks that if someone is in the house he is going to flash his huge light blinding them to catch them by surprise. Well the surprise was on him. He opened the door to flash his flash light but he didn’t see anyone there except 3 inch cockroaches everywhere. At once they flew all over him and he is covered in roaches. He has roaches crawling all over him, up his pant legs, through the sleeves of his shirt. Needless to say, he did a quick search of the house. Enjoy the rest of these stories as they share a light humor moment with the VFNRadio audience listeners.

Greg shares how this is a significant difference between an Intercessor and a Inter “successor” . An intercessor is one who gets in between a situation; a person who stands in the gap. They don’t want bad things to happen to people. Abraham didn’t want Sodom to be destroyed. Inter “successor” is a person who succeeds or follows God. These are people who are constantly in the ears of those who God has called to lead His people. Intercessors are those who are submitted to the leader and receive the prayer strategy contrast to the Inter “successor” who wants to give strategies and plans because they want to succeed the one called to lead. The question is how has God called you to lead? We are called to follow those God has called not give them direction.

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, and Pat discuss how the church needs to be ready to separate what is from God and what is of man. They continue to speak about that how Jesus himself did not begin his ministry until the His Father publicly blessed and acknowledged him. God is speaking to this generation and it is important that we don’t put what God is saying in old wineskins because the skin will burst and we will lose them both. New wine, new revelations need to put into new wineskins. The church is the people of God. As church leaders we are supposed to seek, save, baptize, disciple and send believers. The fivefold gifts given to the church are to mature the church but in order for the church to mature it must be willing to separate what is of man so they can have what is of God.

Greg, John, and Pat discuss some of the questions Greg has been pondering. Questions like, how can a Christian man who is addicted to internet pornography judge the world for their sexual sins? How can Christian men and women protest taxes when according to George Barna and the Barna Group are robbing God because only a small percentage of the church actually tithes? How can Christians demand prayer be put back in schools when children say their parents don’t pray at home? If the church wants the world to be healed it is going to have to go first.
