In this part 2 of God’s Generals; You Can be One; Greg, John and Pat discuss the book entitled God’s Generals: Why They Succeeded and Why Some Failed, written by Roberts Liardon as they continue from where they left off in part one. The book chronicles the lives and ministry of powerful men and women of God who were used in their generation. They continue to share some of their exploits as well as some of their setbacks and failures. These were just ordinary men and women who fell in love with an extraordinary God. Those discussed on today’s program were John Alexander Dowie, Maria Woodard Etter, Evan Roberts, Charles Parham, William Seymour, John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, Katherine Kuhlman, A.A. Allen and Aimee Semple McPherson. They also play audios and videos of some of God’s Generals s so you can hear them yourself. This is such a faith booster as you will hear and see how God used ordinary people who did not let their background, their gender or the inconveniences of their time stop them or slow them down from boldly proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once you hear and see how both parts oneand two connect whether you are hearing William Branham minister under the anointing of God, hearing Jack Coe give his salvation testimony or even hear about the great length Aimee Semple McPherson went to preach the gospel. One thing is for sure you will be filled with faith to believe God to be used during your generation and be one of God’s Generals too. Also watch or listen to short videos or audios of these generals.

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John and Pat discuss a scenario in which the listener is in an imaginary room. At first this room is just closed in where there is no place to run. No hope of ever getting out. Then before you know it in one wall in the room a door has been created. You find out that God is on the other side of the door. Although you are all alone you think about, what is it going to cost to open the door? At one point you even begin to hear a knocking at the door. Sure the door could have been blown open from the other side but God wants us to respond to his knocking and allow us to open the door of our hearts. He wants us to go from a place of bondage and hopelessness to freedom and joy but we must open the door of our hearts to him.

LISTEN NOW! In this moment of wisdom found in Proverbs 3:3-4 “Let love and faithfulness never leave you ; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man” Greg begins to share the importance of love and faithfulness in a Christian’s life. He continues to share that if you have loop holes in every relationship you are just not faithful. We are called to be people of love and faithfulness and must be willing to bind them around our neck write them on the tablet of our heart which means they must be something held closely. If we hold them close and make them a part of our lives then we will have favor with God and man. Faithfulness opens the door to favor in your life.

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John and Pat discuss how Israel belongs to God. They discuss how everything is focusing around Israel once again as President Obama meets in Washington with Israeli and Palestinian negotiators. They continue to discuss the continued onslaught of attacks waged against Christians and Jews. They encourage us to pray for the President as well as for Israel as the times we live in require great Biblical wisdom. Continue to pray for all men since Proverbs 21:1 says “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.” God ultimately has the last word.

LISTEN NOW! John, Pat and Greg discuss how everything we see is not always what is happening and how there are things happening behind the scenes. They continue to discuss how there has been many things happening in the Middle East in the last couple of years especially with the Arab Spring. Egypt in particular saw their leadership overthrown and saw the Muslim Brotherhood rise to power with President Morsi being elected. And then again on the anniversary of Morsi taking over the leadership of Egypt, some of the largest protest the world had ever seen was taking place in Egypt when millions took to the streets demanding his removal. Since then a new government is in place but there is something else that is happening in Egypt, Egyptian Christians are praying. According to CBN “More than 1,400 children gathered in the Egyptian desert recently asking God to change them and their nation.” The hope is in the young people crying out to God. Something good is happening in Egypt, continue to pray.

LISTEN NOW! Greg, John, and Pat discuss the condition of America. God loves all men and wishes that none would perish. There are some that are preaching an American gospel lifting America over the kingdom of God the reality is that America is the byproduct of the Kingdom of God. It is God and country in that order. America has major tumors and she is suffering greatly as she lies on her sick bed. She is malnourished; she has some destructive habits and is under attack. What made her once strong has been removed; prayer in schools, the Ten Commandments from court rooms and the list goes on. They continue to discuss the kindness and sternness of God sharing that how we perceive who God is and His character makes all the difference. God is loving, compassionate, merciful and patient with us as well as having the ability to be stern with us when needed. That is the tension in which we live when we walk with God. Although 2 Peter tells us, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” They continue to challenge us to pray for America and to speak life back into her again. There is still time for her to get off of her sick bed and rise if the church repents.
