Ben Watson New Orleans Saints Football Player shares Epic Wisdom on Race Relations

NFL player for the New Orleans Saints, Ben Watson, has not only turned heads across the league because of his impressive abilities and actions; he is also turning the heads within a nation. Many hearts have been distraught experiencing the racial tensions and eruptions taking place throughout America. When emotions have been high and words difficult to affectively express, Watson shares his heart. When the events of Ferguson stunned America, Watson responded by sharing his thoughts and many emotions through a post on his Facebook account.

When others were unsure of how to put their feelings into words, it was Watson’s post that appeared to be what others were feeling as well. In an interview with CBN, Watson shares, “I had teammates, black, white, coaches, uh, people of all walks of life say, ‘ya know what, that’s how I felt. I just couldn’t put it into words.’”Watson continues to talk about his post, what should be done now, and how to respond. “We need to reconcile in the Church; because we’re the ones that should understand it. We’re the ones that have been saved by grace. We’re the ones that, um, understand what it means to love unconditionally. We’re the ones to understand forgiveness. We’re the ones that understand people are created in God’s image…”

NFL Benjamin Watson, Leads others to kneel on Field, not on American Flag; FOR PRAYER

We have seen many NFL players take a knee before games for other reasons, but now Benjamin Watson had players take a knee for another reason. Benjamin, of the NFL’s New Orleans Saints, led fellow team members and players from the opposing team to take a knee on the sidelines to pray. This is encouraging to see people standing for God in the Entertainment Mountain for the world to see. Benjamin posted the picture above on his Instagram and said, “Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow. #MeetUsAtThe50.” In this picture we see Saint’s players and Buccaneers players kneeling at the 50-yard line, coming together to pray. Celebrating the Joy and Power of Baptism

Greg and John share how baptisms took place at Vine Fellowship Network. David Walters, Greg’s grandson, was baptized because he gave his life to the Lord recently. David had a dream before his baptism that he was baptized and as he was in the cold water, he felt like he was on fire. Then as he came out of the water, he felt 20 pounds lighter. Baptism is an important next step once you are saved to show the world the decision that you have made for Christ. Mario Lopez publicly showed his baptism in the Jordan River which was powerful to see him declare to the world his decision for Jesus. John’s daughter Mya was also baptized because she made the decision to follow Jesus and she wanted to take the next step. Maybe you have made the decision to follow Christ, but you have not been baptized yet, make sure to do that soon! Anyone can baptize you, and you can be baptized anywhere! John Voight, Actor, Cries, Grateful for President Trump

John Voight, an actor, and American patriot, shares his gratefulness for President Donald Trump and all that he has accomplished. John Voight is interviewed by Mark Levin on Fox News. We covered all the many things that President Trump has done for our nation in recent segments. Make sure to check that out to be encouraged by all that good things taking place in America.

Reported by The Blaze, this is John’s remarks concerning President Trump and our nation. “Jon Voight, Academy Award-winning actor, and outspoken Trump supporter, cried during an interview with Fox News’ Mark Levin on Sunday night when discussing an encounter, he had with a conservative woman on a plane.

While speaking with Levin on “Life, Liberty & Levin,” the 79-year-old Voight choked up and cried while discussing his support for President Donald Trump’s America.

Detailing an encounter, the actor recently had with an unnamed conservative woman while traveling, Voight said that he asked the woman her thoughts on “our man,” meaning the president, and instead of responding vocally, she reportedly placed her hand across her heart.

As Voight detailed the encounter to Levin, he became visibly emotional as he emulated the woman’s motion of placing her hand on her chest.

“That’s me crying,” Voight explained. “The gesture was so beautiful, she couldn’t even speak. She was just saying ‘Thank God.’ And I say, ‘Thank God.’”

“And one of the reasons I can say ‘thank God’ is because I know [God] is there for us all,” he added.

Voight went on to detail society’s problem: The absence of God in the everyday lives of many people.

“That’s one of the things that we’ve lost is this compass of God,” Voight explained. “What did Karl Marx come up with? He eliminated God from the picture.”

NFL Drew Brees, BREAKS RECORDS & Shares His Personal Testimony

Pat and Greg are on the program talking about Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints and the record he just broke! Pat has been a fan of the Saints since he was a child and he has stayed true to the team. Drew just broke the passing record for yardage throwing over 72,000 total yards! It was such a great victory that in the middle of the game, they stopped and celebrated! His wife and children came out to congratulate Drew, and he hugged his kids and told them, “You can do anything as long as you are willing to work for it.” You can see that he loves his children and he also loves the Lord!

Drew is a genuine man and father, and he shares his testimony. “I felt like I was a kid who was raised well. Who had respect for others, trying to always do the right thing. I was a good student, and yet my life did revolve around sports…I remember a moment, my junior year of high school; I played for West Lake High School. We were one of the top five A schools in the state of Texas, on our way to winning a state championship, I was the quarterback for the football team, and I remember I came up after a play with a torn ACL and MCL which at the time was a devastating injury. I thought that my career was over, I had seen many of my friends go through that same injury, and I’d never come back the same…this attitude of feeling sorry for myself. And what do I have to live for now? My life revolved completely around sports. That’s really how I formed my identity up to that point. Here I am five weeks after that, again, it’s my junior year of high school, right around my seventeenth birthday. I remember I was sitting in church, First Baptist Church of Austin, Texas…I was sitting there that Sunday which up to that point I went to church because my Dad was going to church, my brother and I would go to Sunday school, and I was there for the donuts and to hear the cool stories. We would sit in the main church and my brother, and I would just mess around the whole time and not really pay attention. But for some reason this Sunday was different. Again, for five weeks I had been on crutches feeling sorry for myself, sports had been my identity and I was sitting there asking myself is this really what life is all about? At that moment I am sitting there listening to our pastor speak about God looking for a few good men to lead. And at that moment Jesus reached in and grabbed my heart and made me feel like I’m one of those few good men. My life was transformed after that. That very calming influence came over me, and I knew that God had a plan for me. Whether it involved sports or not it didn’t matter, I was being called to live my life for Him, and that gave me great peace. From then on I knew that I was always going to trust in God’s plan.” Drew shares one of his favorite verses, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV

This testimony is powerful! It is great to see someone in the spotlight openly sharing his faith shining the light of Jesus in the Entertainment Mountain. We are thankful for Drew being a light. LISTEN NOW! Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM! It is beautiful to see people using the platform given to them by the Lord, to bring glory to the name of Jesus. NFL player, Zach Ertz, is one of these athletes. He is boldly unashamed of his faith in Jesus. Zach is married to USA Soccer player, Julie Ertz. When Josh was interviewed before he was part of the winning Super Bowl team, he was just as bold before as he was afterward.

Josh was asked about how important it is to use his position to glorify God. As he shared, “our number one goal on this Earth is to make disciples…” He continues, “faith in football this Sunday is huge. It’s the platform we have to draw people to the Word, to Jesus. It’s something that we don’t take for granted by any means.”

Jesus is not simply a name or an idea to Josh Ertz, but a real, tangible relationship. “I always knew Jesus. I always knew who He was, but I didn’t have the relationship like I do now.” He recognized those athletes around him who remained steady in their lives amidst the ups and downs. Ertz shared about how he made the decision to make Jesus Christ real in his life by giving his life to Him. “I got baptized this past offseason…so last March was when I truly dedicated my life. It was the best thing that ever happened.”

Many have a relationship with the Lord at a building, but God wants to have a personal relationship with you, in your home, in your heart, wherever you are. Who are you when no one is around? Who are you when the cameras are not flashing? It’s not about ‘going’ to church. It’s about ‘being’ the Church. This is the moment of transformation in our lives. When we no longer live our lives for the eyes of others, but for the eyes of Jesus, powerful things begin to happen in our hearts and our lives.
