LISTEN or WATCH NOW!
Have you ever felt like you have been on an emotional roller coaster, either by your emotions or someone else’s? Our feelings are fickle, and they cannot lead us, or we will lead a life of chaos. Many say they are spirit led when they are following their feelings.
Joyce Meyer, with Joyce Meyer Ministries, shares how feelings are fickle. “Emotions are so fickle. Did you ever say to somebody ‘you are so fickle’? And when you say that to them what you are actually saying is, ‘I cannot depend on you, you are one way one day, and another way the next day.’ And we have to understand emotions are fickle; they change without any notice at all.”
We are spirits that have a body and our bodies possess a soul. Our soul is what we think, what we want, and what we feel. Our flesh is not born again; our spirit is born again. In the Bible the book of Romans urges us to offer our flesh as a living sacrifice, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” We renew our soul by feeding our spirit! There may be times where you don’t feel like listening to an anointed song or a teaching from the Word of God, like VFNtv. But you must choose to feed your spirit and when you do that your soul will line up, and your feelings will start acting as it should because it will feel the goodness of God. The times that you feel like “vegging” out, allowing darkness to speak into your ear or come into your eyes, turn to the light instead! Even though you don’t feel like it, your soul will be encouraged and act like it wanted to all along.
Chuck Pierce, with Glory of Zion International Ministries, gives a prophetic word that we are entering a time of war, which is a spiritual war. “I say to you this is a time of impartation for war. I say I am imparting war into My people. And one generation will teach another generation to war. I say to you; you must shift now to understand and to know your place for days ahead.” Jesus went through this war as well; His emotions were under assault. He was fully God and fully man and chose to not give into His feelings. We can make the same choice and not follow our feelings! Sometimes we feel like doing something, and then the next day we don’t feel like it, the solution to that is to stop allowing your feelings to decide what you are going to do. Our feelings can make a fool out of us. We need to recognize feelings, and we can have someone hold us accountable to not follow our emotions. When we have our vision written down, then we know what the next thing is to do.
It is important that we spend time with God because then we will hear His voice! If you need help on how to spend time with God, you can get a free plan on abiding, spending time with God, at iAbide. Make sure to watch or listen to the full segment to hear more encouragement. We want to hear from you. You can write to us at Friends@VFNKB.com. Greg and John shared in this segment.

#WisdomMoments Ill-Gotten Gain Matters to God
Wisdom is knowledge properly applied and God is wisdom! In the first Proverb in the Bible it speaks of ill-gotten gain. There is wisdom in asking questions when you are pursuing a business deal because you don’t want to blindly jump into one. You don’t want to take advantage of people, so you need to ask yourself questions like is it legal? Are we taking advantage of people? Are we asking for exorbitant prices that’s unfair? When we finish this business transaction will the customer be worse off or blessed? But if someone is out for ill-gotten gain none of these matter to them!
“My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them. If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul; let’s swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder; cast lots with us; we will all share the loot”— my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood. How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it! These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves! Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.” Proverbs 1:10-19
God is not pleased with someone oppressing people, so they can benefit from something. He will not bless someone focused on ill-gotten gain. How business is done matters! You must be up front with everything and let your customer know what is going on and trust God with the results.
Greg gives an example of ill-gotten gain as the Florida Lottery. The money that is earned from it is used for education but the people who buy lottery tickets are usually the ones who are living paycheck to paycheck and have a couple of dollars left. They will buy a lottery ticket to get hope that maybe they will win. We know that a small number of people actually win on lottery tickets. Preying on people who could spend their money on more important things is not the way it has to be. There are other ways to get the money that is needed for education.
You must seek God and He will guide you! Getting things in the wrong way is not the way to live because that is a life without God. If you need help on how to spend time with God, you can get your free abiding plan at iAbide today. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and maybe you have been doing things in an ill-gotten way, you can repent today and make Jesus the Lord of your life. You can read our stories at Meet My Father and how we made that decision too. We want to hear from you! You can write to us at Friends@VFNKB.com. Greg, Pat, and John shared in this segment.

Feelings can betray our faith, destiny, and integrity. Integrity is the courage to meet the demands of reality. When we follow our feelings, it leads us to not be a person of integrity, a person of no faith. Faith is described in Hebrews as, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” If you think of a time, you followed your feelings it is not a feeling of confidence. Watchman Nee said, “He who lives by emotions, will live without principles.” This means he would live without integrity. This is why vision is so important! “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” We need this because the days, hours, and minutes when we are not “feeling like it” our vision will remind us what we need to do next. “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” We must keep our vision before us and put our feelings on the shelf.
We must stop allowing our feelings to vote! Sometimes we feel like doing something, and then the next day we don’t feel like it, the solution to that is to stop allowing your feelings decide what you are going to do. Our feelings can make a fool out of us. We need to recognize feelings, and we can have someone we are accountable to that will help us to not follow our emotions. When we have our vision written down, then we know what the next thing is to do.
Finally, maybe you are feeling burned out. Things may not be making sense anymore, like why you are doing what you are called to do. Don’t make any big decisions during this time. Take time to rest and get back in line with the vision God gave you. Isaiah 28:12-13 says, “This is rest; give rest to the weary; and this is repose”; yet they would not hear. And the word of the Lord will be to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.” When you don’t take time to rest your feelings will betray you, when you wanted to say something good, something bad is said. It is important to spend time with God because then you will hear His voice to know when you need time to rest! These are such exciting days for America! To see our President stand up for the African American citizen, and the black colleges and universities across our nation. For so long, our nation’s history has been kept separated. Presently, at our universities, our complete history isn’t being taught in the classroom. Our history needs to be merged so that every student gets the full story in order to receive the full understanding of all that has taken place in America. Be lifted up and encouraged as you see the President commenting about HBCU’s, the signing of this important Executive Order, the importance of our nation’s history, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: culture, race, education, and leadership. Greg and John shared in this segment.
God has great plans in store for all the citizens of America. It is vital that we continue to pray for President Trump and his entire Cabinet so that they can respond and edify the African American Community, and all the citizens of America. See the full statements from President Trump, the full details of this recent prophetic dream, and so much more. Also, shared in this segment: human services, legacy, justice, equality, oppression, love, division, and hope. Greg and John shared in this segment.
This is so important to recognize. We went for so long, as if the decisions and actions of the previous Administration was insanity. It seemed as though no one cared what truth was anymore. But God is turning the hearts. When God puts a man in place of leadership, who is a friend of Israel, and a friend with the Church, we must stand in support of this leadership. Just as President Truman instantly recognized Israel and supported Israel, President Trump is also recognizing and supporting Israel. We have to stand behind our president with prayer. Hear the entire prophetic word from Pastor John Kilpatrick, truth, application, campaigns, standing with Israel, Greg and John shared in this segment.
It is exciting to see and know that God has established President Donald Trump to lead America, and do even more, to bring us all together, as everyone matters in America. Be encouraged and edified as you begin to understand the contextual story of history, as well as understand how the events of yesterday have their own ripple effects into today, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: racism, bigotry, integration, desegregation, culture, politics, voting, racial division, and restoration. Greg and Steve shared in this segment.
