A Call to Caution: Holy Spirit is “Holy,” it’s Vital He is Honored

While the Holy Spirit offers guidance and power, it’s essential to recognize our role in this relationship. The Spirit can be resisted, and speaking against His works can lead to severe consequences (Acts 7:51; Mark 3:28).

Immersed in the Trinity

The Holy Spirit is not a standalone entity. He is part of the divine Trinity, and believers are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, signaling a holistic immersion in God’s essence (Matthew 28:19).

While in an abiding relationship with Jesus Christ we can count on the Holy Spirit to be all we’ll need to BE THE CHURCH:

Jesus told us

1. The Holy Spirit is our counselor, John 14:26.
2. The Holy Spirit teachings us ALL THINGS, John 14:26.
3. The Holy Spirit will teach us what to say at the very time we’ll need to say a certain thing, Luke 12:12; Mark 13:11.
4. The Holy Spirit reminds us of everything Jesus said, John 14:26.
5. The Holy Spirit enables us to hear the voice of God, Matthew 3:16-4:1.
6. The Holy Spirit leads us, Matthew  4:1.
7. The Holy Spirit gives us power to deal with demonic oppressions, Matthew 12:28.
8. The Holy Spirit will control us if we allow Him to lead us, Romans 8:9,14.
9. The Holy Spirit knows what God is thinking, I Corinthians 2:11.
10. The Holy Spirit can be grieved by our actions and words towards others, Ephesians 4:29-30.
11. The Holy Spirit leads us in worship, Philippians 3:3.
12. The Holy Spirit enables us to discern the right and wrong spirits, even those who are or are not believers, I John 4:2.
13. The Holy Spirit convicts’ people of sin, John 17:7-11; I Thessalonians 1:4-5.
14. The Holy Spirit convicts’ people of righteousness, John 17:7-11.
15. The Holy Spirit convicts’ people of judgment, John 17:7-11.
16. The Holy Spirit can pray what we need or needs to be prayed at the time since He knows the thoughts and heart of God, Jude 1:20.

27. The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a gift from God, Romans 5:5; Luke 11:13; Acts 2:23.
28. The Holy Spirit will identify and make individuals overseers and shepherds, it is only our responsibility to discern and recognize what He has already done, Acts 20:28.
29. The Holy Spirit will warn us of possible danger, Acts 20:23.
30. The Holy Spirit may come upon someone when we lay our hands on them and they may speak in other languages/tongues and prophesy, Acts 19:2,6.
31. The Holy Spirit will prevent us from going places or doing certain things (if we discern His promptings), Acts 16:6.
32. The Holy Spirit will give peace and confirmations when it comes to knowing what instructions and directions to give to the church, or a believer even if it’s a new event/happening that has never occurred in the church, Acts 15:28.
33. When the Holy Spirit is in someone’s life and heart it shows us that God has accepted them, Acts 15:8.
34. The Holy Spirit will tell you who to set apart for a certain work when taking the attitude of worship and seeking God’s direction through fasting and prayer, Acts 13:2-4.
35. The Holy Spirit may even choose to fill believing individuals while we are speaking, teaching, signing, or sharing God’s word, Acts 11:15-16.
36. The Holy Spirit empowers us to go around doing good and healing all that is oppressed by the devil, Acts 10:37-38.
37. The Holy Spirit will strengthen, encourage, and give peace to a church body of believers, Acts 9:31.
38. The Holy Spirit can be resisted. He moves by permission, or by the persons desire to have him move in their life or situation, Acts 7:51.
39. When a person is filled (or baptized) with the Holy Spirit they may begin to speak in other languages/tongues if/as the Holy Spirit enable them and they don’t resist Him, Acts 2:4; Acts 7:51.
40. The Holy Spirit gives us power to witness, i.e., share about Christ Jesus and what He’s done and is doing in our lives, Acts 1:7-8.
41. The Holy Spirit was imparted once on record though breath, by Jesus, John 20:22.
42. Speaking against the Holy Spirit or His works can have eternal fatal consequences, Mark 3:28.
43. When someone is baptized, they are to be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:19.

The Mystery

Since the beginning of time, when our God created the heavens, earth, and man there has been a mystery. No matter how amazing those in past generations were, and many were, what I am about to share with you was a mystery to them.

God first walked with man in the garden, in the cool of the day having fellowship, man with God and God with man up until the fall of man. God was everywhere, man was down on earth. God walked along side of man and man with God until the fall.

Later God appeared to man, but He was covered in a cloud. The only one who could see God face to face was Moses, God’s friend. It was such a powerful thing to look upon our holy God that Moses’ face so powerfully shined from the impact of God’s glory on his face that he had to wear a vail to cover his face. God had to hide Moses behind a cave like rock area so that he could survive when God passed by and showed Moses His back. What an awesome God we serve. Holy, Mighty and Worthy to be praised.

Later, God sent His Son, Jesus, Who left the splenders of heaven where He and God (His Father) had fellowship in a forever place that exists outside of time. Jesus came to earth, born as a child (all God and all man), lived a sinless life, made the Father known to us with His goodness, love and compassion for us and desire to forgive us. Then Jesus paid the price for us. A price that no other one in all of earth or heaven could pay. He paid with His holy blood being sacrifice upon the cross so that a sin offering could be made before God for our sins. Now, through Jesus, our sins could be forgiven, and we could be restored into a right relationship with God as was in the Garden of Eden.

Yet, this time, God does not just walk along side of us, no, that mystery since the beginning of time now has been revealed. God dwells in us, for that mystery is “CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY.” That’s right, the mystery was that God always wanted to dwell inside of man and desire man to dwell inside of Him, to “become one” as He and Jesus are one. Now by God’s Spirit, Christ dwells in the heart of every believer. Wow, now you know the mystery, God’s mystery revealed, your hope is Christ in you, the HOPE OF GLORY!

It’s Both the Kindness and Sternness of God

We have an enlightening discussion about a sermon taught by Jonathan Edwards in 1741, Sinners in the Hand of an Angry God. When we make Jesus the Lord of our lives, we are saved from the wrath of God. It may be hard to understand this with many of the teachings we hear these days; that we can love someone and be angry with them at the same time. God showed mercy to us, which is Him showing His love, by sending His Son to die a brutal death. Jesus took on all the wrath of God at the moment of His death. And Jesus rose again to bring us eternal life taking on all our sins, washing them away, so we can be with Him forever. God took what we deserved and put all of that in Jesus. Until we understand this, we won’t understand what God has saved us from. You can read our stories at Meet My Father to see that we are all sinners saved by grace. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can make the decision today to accept Him and receive this mercy and grace that God has given to us. THE VIEW, Joy Behar Mocks Christianity, Vice Pres. Mike Pence; Omarosa does the same

As the Trump Administration enters the second year of its Administration, many have become keenly aware of the names of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. Our Vice President has demonstrated his bold faith as a Christian throughout his leadership. What is a shock to witness, is to see people mock and criticize the Vice President for his faith in Jesus Christ.

As a former White House staff member, Omarosa Manigault recently shared her opinion during an episode of Celebrity Big Brother.  “As bad as ya’ll think Trump is, you would be worried about Pence”. She continues to share her thoughts of Vice President Pence becoming President. “We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became President”.  She then turned her attention to his faith. “He’s extreme. I’m Christian. I love Jesus, but he thinks Jesus tells him to say things that are like. I’m like, Jesus didn’t say that”.

Omarosa was not the only one who expressed their criticism of Vice President Mike Pence. Outspoken personality, Joy Behar, from ABC’s The View, also expressed her thoughts on the matter. “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus; it’s another thing when Jesus talks to you”. She adds, “that’s called mental illness if I’m not correct”. These comments came in response to Omarosa’s comments on Celebrity Big Brother. According to Fox News, ABC News is receiving an overwhelming amount of complaints: “more than 25,000 phone calls”. She would never say this against Islam. The reality is, Jesus separates between what is truth and what is a lie. Jesus Christ is perfect theology.

To hear the voice of Jesus Christ is not a surprise nor it is a shock to those who follow Him. As Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” We serve a God that does speak. If you’ve been a Christian for a long time, and never knew that, you can hear His voice today.

When Vice President Mike Pence caught wind of these remarks, he was deeply saddened; not for his sake, but for the many who share his same beliefs. As CBN News shares, the Vice President shared his response to these criticizing remarks. “I actually heard that ABC has a program that compared my Christianity to mental illness. And I’d like to laugh about it but I really can’t.” He underscores the significance of faith in America. “Overwhelming majority of Americans cherish their faith, and we’ve all different types of faith in this country.”

Turning the attention to ABC, the Vice President shares his thoughts on ABC allowing these statements to be made. “to have ABC maintain a broadcast forum that compared Christianity to mental illness is just wrong.” He continues, “And it’s an insult, not just to me, but to the vast majority of the American people, who, like me, cherish their faith.”

Christianity is not simply a label for the Vice President, but a way of life for him. “I can honestly tell you my faith sustains me in all that I do, and it’s just a regular part of our lives.” The Vice President recognizes how this action reveals the media’s take on faith. “It demonstrates how out of touch, some in the mainstream media are, with the faith and values of the American people.” He continues, “that you could have a major network, like ABC, permit a forum for invective against religion.”

What Joy Behar doesn’t know, is that the Lord spoke prophetically through Kim Clement in a prophecy back in 2007. In this prophetic word, Kim Clement declares how specific media would have to agree with what God is doing. Media sources such as Time Magazine, Newsweek, and The View, were specifically addressed.

SHE LEFT ISIS FOR JESUS; HATE FOR LOVE, NOW SHE WANTS THE WORLD TO KNOW!

The world watched as brutal acts of savagery and evil were routinely carried out under the flag of ISIS and Radical Islam throughout the Middle East and the United States. Can you imagine someone being a part of that and coming to Jesus Christ? This is the very reality that happened in one woman’s life.

As she shares, her youth was troubled with anger and pain. “I was hurting a lot, and I hurt people because of it. I tried to kill myself three times.” She wanted to go to Syria. “I hated people who weren’t Muslim”. She was strongly drawn to acts of death and murder. “I loved to see people dying. I loved to see them bleeding. I would see videos of decapitation and loved it.”

In her zeal to prove Christians that they were wrong, she began reading the Bible. She soon found out that she was the one that was wrong. “The Grace of Jesus Christ started to touch me. I was reading things, like ‘pray for your enemies.’” It was through this journey that she gave her life to Jesus Christ. Her family responded by ignoring her. “This is where persecution started. They didn’t talk to me. They stopped talking to me.” Because of this, she would simply remain in her room and read the Bible, for months. She knew that she was not alone, but that Holy Spirit was with her. After being rejected by her family, she knows that she has been brought into a greater family, the Body of Christ all throughout the world.

After giving her life to Jesus, she wanted to be baptized and receive Holy Spirit. In the midst of going after God, satan tried to stop her. God prevailed, and she was delivered. The power of God consumed her life. “After the baptism, I felt like a heavy weight completely disappeared, and I was so excited to go and make disciples. All my convictions in Christ started to be alive in me. I started to want to talk about Jesus to everyone, even to the people who led me to terrorism.” She continues to share her desire to share the Gospel with Muslims. “I really want Muslims to come to the truth and really know Jesus, because He loves them, no matter what they did, no matter what they said.”

She speaks directly to all of those who are the position that she was when she was pursuing death and desiring to be a part of terrorism. “I know it might seem crazy what I am saying. But, I’ve been where you are, and I assure you, this isn’t the truth. Islam is not the truth…I assure you, please, look for God with all your heart, and you will find Him.” Knowing the difference between Islam and Christianity, she describes how to know the difference between those who are following Islam. “I’m sure you don’t have a personal relationship with God because maybe you are following rules. But with God, it’s an adventure.”

Maybe this is you. You’ve been serving religion. You’ve heard about Jesus but never began a relationship with Him. Jesus is perfect theology. You can give your life to Jesus Christ today. WATCH! President Trump at 66th National Prayer Breakfast; Who does Google say Jesus is?

President Trump “WE LOVE GOD” “WE SEE GOD’S GRACE…” NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST, 66th Annual
 
Another year has gone by and members from both parties of our government have once again gathered together for the National Prayer Breakfast. This year marks the 66th annual event, which is also now the second Prayer Breakfast that President Trump has attended. There has been so much division that was been demonstrated between our two parties of government. But, this event demonstrates how this is not always true. Franklin Graham, who also attended the event, shares the significance of the event.
 
“It was a privilege to be at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday. Many powerful testimonies to God and prayers for our country were shared by different individuals. The Prayer Breakfast is a bipartisan event co-chaired by a Democrat and a Republican. This just goes to show you that both parties in Washington can work together–when we come together in Jesus’ Name.”
 
This is such a powerful truth to understand and realize. Franklin Graham understands the important role of leadership in our nation, and the need for godly leadership. During the Presidential race of 2017, Graham traveled to all 50 state capitals in America and cried out in repentance for our nation. It wasn’t about politics, it was simply about believing God for godly leadership.
 
When we look at this year’s National Prayer Breakfast, it is important to remember where we came from to recognize the beauty of where we are now. President Trump recognizes how the founders of our nation acknowledges God. “Each year this event reminds us that faith is central to American life and to liberty. Our founders invoked our Creator four times in the Declaration of Independence. Our currency declares ‘In God We Trust.’ And we place our hands on our hearts as we recite the Pledge of Allegiance and proclaim we are ‘One Nation Under God.” When our previous president said words during past prayer breakfast events that were in direct contradiction to what our Founders believed, President Trump acknowledges the reality of our nation. “America is a nation of believers and together we are strengthened by the power of prayer.”
 
We recognize that America is a nation of laws, in addition, we all have rights. What is beautiful is how President Trump recognizes where these rights come from. “Our rights are not given to us by man; our rights come from our Creator. No matter what, no earthly force can take those rights away. That is why the words, ‘Praise be to God’ are etched atop the Washington Monument, and those same words are etched into the hearts of our people. So today we praise God for how truly blessed we are to be Americans.” Is this not beautiful!? This our President acknowledging our Creator.
 
When we look at the Washington Monument, the apex of this monument has words etched into it, “Praise Be to God”. So many people are arguing that God doesn’t belong in the public square. This refutes every one of those claims as God is literally in the middle of our public square.
 
The President continues to talk about how God’s handiwork can not only be seen in our nation’s monuments, but all throughout the fabric of our society. “On our land, we see the splendor of God’s creation. Throughout history we see the story of God’s providence and in every city and town we see the Lord’s grace around us through a million acts of kindness, courage and generosity. We love God.” The President also highlights how we live our lives greatly impacts those around us. “We see the Lord’s grace in the service members who risk their lives for our freedom. We see it in the teachers who work tirelessly for their students and the police who sacrifice for our communities. And we see the Lord’s grace in the moms and dads who work two and three jobs to give their children the chance for a better and much more prosperous and happier life.”
 
One of the things the Lord revealed to Greg Lancaster is that the Church needs to pay attention to what this man is doing. The President is confident. He doesn’t care about the negative press. He continues in the vision that he has spoken over the nation. As the Church, we should be more confident than anybody else. What are your thoughts on this? GOOGLE BLOCKING ACCESS TO JESUS & THE ONLY WAY TO GOD?
 
In our culture, we have so many devices and technology at our disposal, providing endless information. Devices like Google Assist and Siri are nothing more than Artificial Intelligence (AI) providing information from data bases. Just because we have access to this knowledge, doesn’t necessarily mean that we have wisdom. We should not be submitting to these devices. On the contrary, these devices need to be submitting to us.
 
How often do we find ourselves reaching out to Siri for information? Have you ever asked Siri who God is? Well, one woman did this very thing. The results that she found may surprise you. Wanting to know what Google says about Allah, Buddha, and Jesus, a woman begins to ask Google Home who Allah is. Without skipping a beat, the device begins sharing information “according to Wikipedia”. Okay, next question. “Hey Google, who is Buddha?” Once again, Google Home shares information “according to Wikipedia”. But, when she asks who Jesus Christ is, it appears that Google Home doesn’t have an answer for that. “Sorry, I don’t know how to help with that yet.” Maybe it was how she pronounced His name. She tries again. “Hey Google, who is Jesus?” “Sorry, I’m not sure how to help” is the response.
 
The woman continues down her list as she asks, “…who is New Age?” Once again, information “according to Wikipedia” is rattled off instantaneously. She tries again and asks about Jesus Christ. Once again, Google Home is stumped. “My apologies. I don’t understand.” So, according to Google Home, Wikipedia doesn’t have any information about Jesus Christ. But, this isn’t true. According to Wikipedia, ‘Jesus, also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus Christ, was a Jewish preacher and religious leader. He is the central figure of Christianity. Most Christians believe him to be the incarnation of God the Son and the awaited Messiah (Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament.’ Hmmm…why wouldn’t Google Home share this?
 
Why is Google afraid of the information and truth about Jesus Christ for it to be blocked? This means Jesus is the REAL DEAL! Simply put, what Google has done is block the way for all of their customers to know the truth about Jesus. Google is blocking the knowledge of the Son of God. Jesus said plainly in John 14:6 who He is. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” What is Google so scared about that they would purposely omit this truth? Jesus Christ loves you and He has a plan for your life.
 
No matter how advanced technology gets, it cannot replace true relationships. What are your thoughts about the decision from Google to omit any information about Jesus? We want to hear from you. Have you ever wondered what a life of perfection looks like? One Person walked that out: Jesus. Jesus walked out perfection and He wants us to do what He did in His life obeying the Father. 

Todd White, of Lifestyle Christianity, articulates this perfectly, “Jesus is the will of God. Anything you see in the life of Jesus is exactly what God would do and exactly what God would say.” White further points out, “Jesus never did anything apart from the Father, showing Him to do it. And, He never said anything apart from the Father, that told Him what to say.” This clearly points out how Jesus was so effectively able to minister and reach all of those that He continually encountered. The River of Life

22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. Jesus Is Coming

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
