LISTEN NOW! (Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM!) As the President continues his 5 Country Tour in Asia, he delivers a riveting and resounding speech to the National Assembly in Seoul, Republic of Korea. As the President expresses the many accolades and achievements of the South Korean people, he also unmistakably speaks with clarity and seriousness regarding the actions of North Korea. Without a doubt, the President effectively uses this opportunity to demonstrate that this Administration is clearly NOT like any past Administration.
In the President’s beginning remarks, he highlights the long history between South Korea and the United States and how their militaries have fought side by side against the forces of Communism. “Driven back at times, they willed their way north to form the line that today divides the oppressed and the free. And there, American and South Korean troops have remained together holding that line for nearly seven decades.” In the coming years after the wars in Korea, South Korea rebounded rapidly. “Family by family, city by city, the people of South Korea built this country into what is today one of the great nations of the world. And I congratulate you. In less than one lifetime, South Korea climbed from total devastation to among the wealthiest nations on Earth.” It is nothing slight of a miracle that this has taken place.
As the President shares the hope and celebration of the growing economy in America, he points out the achievements of low unemployment, growing Stock Market and victories of ISIS. He highlights the growing U.S. Military, its presence in the region and his take on defense; “I want peace through strength”. Simply positioning military is not the only answer, the President understands that the relationship between our two nations is paramount. “I know that the Republic of Korea, which has become a tremendously successful nation, will be a faithful ally of the United States very long into the future.”
In this celebratory fervor, he understands that South Koreans have much to celebrate as well regarding their culture. “The proud, sovereign, and independent people of your nation demanded the right to govern themselves. You secured free parliamentary elections in 1988, the same year you hosted your first Olympics. Soon after, you elected your first civilian president in more than three decades.” The President continues, “And when the Republic you won faced financial crisis, you lined up by the millions to give your most prized possessions — your wedding rings, heirlooms, and gold “luck keys” — to restore the promise of a better future for your children.”
As the economy of South Korea has achieved milestone after milestone, the South Korean people have also been recognized throughout many different industries. ”You’ve pushed the boundaries of technology, pioneered miraculous medical treatments, and emerged as leaders in unlocking the mysteries of our universe. Korean authors penned roughly 40,000 books this year. Korean musicians fill concert halls all around the world. Young Korean students graduate from college at the highest rates of any country. And Korean golfers are some of the best on Earth.” There is success, achievement, and recognition all throughout South Korea. But, the further North one travels, an undeniable difference of reality is seen when looking at what has taken place within the borders of North Korea. As the President explains, “the flourishing ends, and the prison state of North Korea sadly begins.”
The President begins to detail, line by line, horrible atrocities that the North Korean people endure, forced upon them by the oppressive regime of their leadership. “Recently, the entire working population was ordered to work for 70 days straight, or else pay for a day of rest.” The regime continues to neglect the desperate needs of their people while continuing to fund their own twisted regime. ”More than a million North Koreans died of famine in the 1990s, and more continue to die of hunger today. Among children under the age of five, nearly 30 percent of afflicted — and are afflicted by stunted growth due to malnutrition.” When we learn how the regime spent the money it did have, hearts will genuinely be saddened. The President explains, “in 2012 and 2013, the regime spent an estimated $200 million — or almost half the money that it allocated to improve living standards for its people — to instead build even more monuments, towers, and statues to glorify its dictators.”
The North Korean regime demands rigorous and absolute obedience by its people. Those who comply, live in the capital city of Pyongyang, while those who do not, suffer in the most decrepit conditions. How does the regime know who complies and who does not, based on their “citizen score”? “Far from valuing its people as equal citizens, this cruel dictatorship measures them, scores them, and ranks them based on the most arbitrary indications of their allegiance to the state.” As the President points out, the suffering experienced by the North Korean people cannot be understated. “An estimated 100,000 North Koreans suffer in gulags, toiling in forced labor, and enduring torture, starvation, rape, and murder on a constant basis.”
These realities are happening based on who agrees with the regime, and who does not. The topic of faith points to a whole new paradigm. “In the part of Korea that was a stronghold for Christianity before the war, Christians and other people of faith who are found praying or holding a religious book of any kind are now detained, tortured, and in many cases, even executed.” It is simply a totalitarian government. In response, President Trump asks this applicable question; “So why would China feel an obligation to help North Korea?”
While it is a crime for a North Korean citizen to attempt to leave North Korea, the methods that some are willing to take to escape life under this cruel regime is simple heart breaking. “The horror of life in North Korea is so complete that citizens pay bribes to government officials to have themselves exported aboard as slaves.” The President continues, “They would rather be slaves than live in North Korea. To attempt to flee is a crime punishable by death. One person who escaped remarked, ‘When I think about it now, I was not a human being. I was more like an animal. Only after leaving North Korea did I realize what life was supposed to be.’”
The stark difference between these two cultures within the borders of the Korean Peninsula is undeniable. “It is a tale of one people, but two Koreas. One Korea in which the people took control of their lives and their country, and chose a future of freedom and justice, of civilization, and incredible achievement. And another Korea in which leaders imprison their people under the banner of tyranny, fascism, and oppression. The result of this experiment are in, and they are totally conclusive.” Could the differences of these two nations be any further apart?
While the culture of the South Koreans continues to soar, reaching new heights and achievements, the President explains how the regime of North Korea refuses to allow their citizens to travel to South Korea, or allow any South Korean or Western influence upon their culture. Because of the required allegiance to the dictatorship, citizens resort to spying upon one another. President Trump sums up life within North Korea in this quivering reality, “North Korea is a country ruled as a cult.” The President continues, “At the center of this military cult is a deranged belief in the leader’s destiny to rule as parent protector over a conquered Korean Peninsula and an enslaved Korean people.”
As the President continues to expose the unquestionably evil regime of North Korea, he begins to turn the attention to North Korea’s refusal to halt their nuclear tests, and America’s unwavering position on confronting Kim jung-Un. The President pointedly states and admonishes North Korea not to mistakenly assume the United State’s stance on the matter. “The regime has interpreted America’s past restraint as weakness. This would be a fatal miscalculation.” The President continues to emphasize the seriousness of his point. “This is a very different administration than the United States has had in the past.”
In the President’s closing remarks, he underscores the deep ties with South Korea, and the reminder that the strategies of yesterday toward North Korea are over. ”That is why I have come here, to the heart of a free and flourishing Korea, with a message for the peace-loving nations of the world: The time for excuses is over. Now is the time for strength. If you want peace, you must stand strong at all times.” The President understands that this is not simply a matter involving solely South Korea, or the United States and North Korea, but all nations. “All responsible nations must join forces to isolate the brutal regime of North Korea — to deny it and any form — any form of it. You cannot support, you cannot supply, you cannot accept.” With this in mind, President Trump invites North Korea’s closest neighbors to join in the fight to end this rebellious regime. ”We call on every nation, including China and Russia, to fully implement U.N. Security Council resolutions, downgrade diplomatic relations with the regime, and sever all ties of trade and technology. It is our responsibility and our duty to confront this danger together — because the longer we wait, the greater the danger grows, and the fewer the options become.”
These days are critical to understand the urgency and importance that war very easily can erupt in this region of the world. Considering the many allies that the United States has in this region, we could find ourselves in a nuclear conflict if North Korea we to engage in a conflict with our allies. We must remain prayerful for our President, for his safety and the entire Cabinet, as well as Godly wisdom to be upon him during these precarious times. LISTEN NOW! (Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM!) As we continue through this month of November, we cannot help but look back and recognize the many miracles that have happened throughout the last year since President Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States. So much has changed in these last twelve months. It’s important to remember where we were.
Sometimes, a shift can happen so quickly, that we can forget how things were. The Constitution was under assault. Christians were under assault. Hobby Lobby risked being fined a Million dollars each day for refusing to comply with certain laws. When their case was taken to the Supreme Court, justice was heard, and they won. America’s leadership was carrying out an antagonistic relationship with Israel. We were heading in a downward spiral into destruction. But God! God had mercy on America.
When President Donald Trump entered the Oval Office of the White House, one of the first things he did was to reinstate the Mexico City Policy, which required all non-governmental organizations who received federal funds to be prohibited from performing abortions. As President Trump has pointed out, since his victory in the Presidential Elections, the Stock Market has reached new highs, 61 times. President Trump has not only voiced his support of America’s military, but has also demonstrated it with his increased funding of our National Defense. From the moment he took office, he has strengthened America’s relationship with Israel. In addition, he has also appointed Nikki Haley as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations who continually stands up in defense of Israel in the International community.
All of this is simply a testament to the mercies and the goodness of God. It cannot be understated that the direction that America was heading toward was not a good place. The Body of Christ cried out to the Lord and He heard our prayer. You will be deeply encouraged as you are reminded of the miraculous events that unfolded moments before Donald Trump was announced as the 45th President of the United States, reminded of what has been carried out in this last year, and so much more. LISTEN NOW! (Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM!) As the President continues his 5 country tour in Asia, he makes a stop in South Korea to strengthen the bond of our alliance with South Korea, and to use this opportunity to address the growing concern of a nuclear North Korea. As the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, expresses, the President’s highlights the first state visit from a U.S. President in 25 years. Both President Trump and President Moon had high remarks to share with one another.
President Moon was quick to address how their conversations were tackling the topic of North Korea. “Moreover, we agreed to work towards resolving a North Korean nuclear issue in a peaceful manner and bringing permanent peace to the Korean Peninsula.” President Moon continues, “Against escalating nuclear and missile threats from North Korea, we reaffirmed our principle that we must maintain a strong stance toward North Korean threats based on overwhelming superiority of power.” It is deeply encouraging to see President Trump taking these actions to demonstrate the high priority of responding to North Korea and his allegiance to defending countries like South Korea during this time.
President Moon addressed how their allegiance with one another will have an influence military troops in the region. “In this regard, President Trump and I agreed to expend rotational deployment of U.S. strategic assets in and around Korean Peninsula. We will step up our collaboration to enhance Korea’s self-defense capability to unprecedented levels.” Not only will there be a change to the military presence, but some of the previous limitations placed upon South Korea will be removed as well. “To this end, we reached a conclusion today to lift the payload limit on Korean missiles completely, with a final agreement”, President Moon added.
Presently, North Korea finds itself in a precarious situation. But, if they were to suspend their forward progress of their nuclear program, there can be hope in their future. President Moon expressed these words, “should North Korea choose to make the right choice, we also reaffirmed our view that we are willing to offer North Korea a bright future. Based on such common approach between our two countries, we will continue to lead efforts to bring peaceful and fundamental solutions to North Korean nuclear issues.” History will be the indicator as to how President Trump’s visit to the region and South Korea effected the volatile reality of North Korea.
As President Trump replied with his remarks, he shared the same sentiments regarding the allegiance with South Korea and the urgency to respond to North Korea. “The Republic of Korea is more than a longstanding ally of the United States. We are partners and friends who have fought side-by-side in a war, and, really, worked very hard and prospered toward a great and lasting peace.” It is considering this ‘longstanding’ relationship that President Trump underscores the necessity to relieve the tensions with North Korea. “We cannot allow North Korea to threaten all that we have built…Our alliance is more important than ever to peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and across the Indo-Pacific region.”
The President fully understands that North Korea’s continual rebellious missile launches are not only a threat to the region, but to the entire world. As the President expresses his thoughts on the North Korean regime; “We will together confront North Korea’s actions and prevent the North Korean dictator from threatening millions of innocent lives. He is indeed threatening millions and millions of lives so needlessly. North Korea is a worldwide threat that requires worldwide action.” As the President points out, the need for assistance not only comes from countries like South Korea and Japan, but also other countries in the region like China and Russia. President Trump clearly states, “All nations must implement U.N. Security Council regulations and cease trade and business entirely with North Korea. It is unacceptable that nations would help to arm and finance this increasingly dangerous regime.”
It cannot be understated the importance of recognizing the possibility that the United States could soon find itself at war in this region. It is deeply encouraging to see President Trump taking the conversation to the region and not simply resorting to a phone call. This matter requires much wisdom and prayer. Continue to pray for the President as he concludes the remainder of this 5 country Asian trip and responds to the matters involving North Korea, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: trade agreements, bonds with allies, President of South Korea Moon Jae-in, North Korea, missile payload capabilities, nuclear missile launches, Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, The Trump Administration, and hope. LISTEN NOW! (Or WATCH FULL PROGRAM!) As President Trump continues the full-steam ahead progression in his Presidency, he continues to bring his wealth of knowledge in the business world to the relationships with world leaders as well as to the businesses in America. This couldn’t be exemplified greater than his recent speech to US and Japanese Business Leaders when he visited Tokyo, Japan. While President Trump continues his 5 Country Asian Trip, he is representing America in an outstanding way and strengthening the bonds with our allies.
The President has continued to underscore the importance of improving the relationship of trade agreements with Japan for the betterment of both of our economies. The President isn’t shy to admit that Japan has been fairing better than the United States in this area. “And I have to say, for the last many decades, Japan has been winning. You do know that.” The President continues, “For the, actually, last 70 years, cooperation between our two countries has helped us to pioneer incredible advances in commerce, in science, medicine, and technology.” The President points out that Americans and Japanese have been working alongside one another in a myriad of industries achieving marvelous accolades.
As the President speaks to the room of business leaders, he speaks their language as he addresses the topic that would perk the ear of any business leader, inviting more of their business to America: lowering taxes. The President also addresses some of the realities about doing business in America that is undeniable. “The United States is one of the highest-taxed nations in the world. But it’s also a market like no other; by far, the biggest market in the world. Its numbers are phenomenal over the last — since November 8th, Election Day.” By looking at the record breaking lows of unemployment, and the number of jobs created, increasing signs of improvement in the economy can clearly be seen. As the President describes the gains being experienced in the Stock Market, he expresses just how many times this has happened; “The stock market reached an all-time high on Friday, and that’s the 61st, I believe –something around that number — 61st time that’s happened.”
In the wake of America experiencing 4 different hurricanes making landfall this season, causing massive destruction to Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and other areas, the President points out that the GDP in the United States far exceeded any expectations. As some would expect a 2-2.5 GDP, the most recent numbers are 3.2, according to the President. As the President continues to explain, considering the effects of the hurricanes, this means that we may have been in the area of 4. Absolutely remarkable!
The President changes gears as he points out how the amount of regulations in America is crippling the ability to rebuild our infrastructure. As the President is cutting regulation, a bridge that would take 20 years to build, will now take one year to build, saving millions of dollars in budget expenditures. The President then applies this to the business representatives he is addressing by talking about production plants. “You want to build a factory – most importantly, to the folks in this room — or a plant? You’re going to have your approvals very, very quickly. Now, you may be rejected quickly, too. But that’s okay. If you’re rejected quickly — you don’t want to be rejected at the end of the 17th year.” This wisdom and decisiveness is simply remarkable. The President continues, “When you want to build your auto plants, you will have your approvals almost immediately. When you want to expand your plants, you will have your approvals almost immediately.”
On the topic of building production plants, the President speaks bluntly by asking Japanese auto businesses to build products in America versus building them in Japan and shipping them to America. “And we love it when you build cars — if you’re a Japanese firm, we love it — try building your cars in the United States instead of shipping them over. Is that possible to ask? That’s not rude. Is that rude? I don’t think so.” He then points out how Mazda and Toyota have decided to invest $1.6 Billion in manufacturing plants in the United States which will create 4,000 new jobs. In addition, the President explains how Denso will be investing $1 Billion in Tennessee creating 1,000 new jobs. Each time the President talks about these massive companies he takes the time to leave the podium and personally honor, recognize, and shake the hands of the business leaders. Other companies, such as Broadcomm and Foxconn is also carrying out expansions in America.
It is so exciting to see the President going to the source and handing business agreements with those who make the decisions, the leaders of the businesses. As America has suffered greatly in the area of trade agreements, these days are coming to an end. Be encouraged as you see the full statement from President Trump as he addresses the many business leaders, and so much more. Also shared in this segment: GDP, trade agreements, trade deficits, Gross Domestic Product, President Trump, the Trump Administration, stock market, business regulations, quarter earnings, Toyota, Mazda, business development, Boeing, and business relationships.
